Installing
your Favicon
Download
your icon (s) you wish to use. For ewach icon you use, you will
need to rename the icon to favicon, this is so your visitors
browser can find your icon. By default Internet Explorer and
Netscape look for a favicon for each site they display. When
there is no favicon present, the browser displays the default
icons you see on 99% of today's websites.
Installation
of your Favicon is very simple. In most cases you just have
to upload the favicon (named as favicon.ico) to your websites
root directory (usually public_html/, mainwebsite_html/, or
simply www/).
You
may also need to add the favicon code to your webpages as follows.
Adding the code is recoomended to lesser known browsers.
